process creates heat. Our body burns calories even when we sleep. If

in response. This is called the thermic effect of food. If you want
to burn more calories, you should eat 5-6 meals a day. This can be
achieved by making your meals smaller and add healthy snacks between
meals. Eating smaller more frequent meals is a good way to increase
rate of metabolism as there will always be something for the body to
digest and thereby increasing the calories burnt in the digestion of
